How MurrCloud Works - Marketplace Integrations

Your Amazon FBA orders, inside MurrCloud, automatically.

MurrCloud connects to Amazon Seller Central through the SP-API - importing FBA orders, matching products by GS1 barcode, and keeping per-marketplace inventory in sync - without you ever touching API credentials.

01 - The Problem

Amazon orders shouldn't live in a separate system.

Amazon pays out on its own settlement schedule, deducts fees silently, and keeps order data locked inside Seller Central - a portal that doesn't talk to your ERP, warehouse, or accounting.

Without a live connection, someone manually exports orders, pastes them into a spreadsheet, and reconciles at month-end. Inventory counts fall behind. COGS doesn't reflect FBA stock moves. Margin reporting is always a week late.

Orders arrive late

Manual CSV exports mean new orders aren't in your system until someone downloads them.

Inventory drifts

FBA stock movements happen at Amazon's warehouse - your MurrCloud counts don't know.

Products don't match

Amazon SKUs rarely align cleanly to your internal product catalog without deliberate mapping.

02 - How It Works

One authorization. Every marketplace you sell on.

MurrCloud owns a registered Amazon SP-API application. You don't configure API credentials - you connect your Seller Central account through Amazon's standard OAuth flow and MurrCloud handles the rest. The central app credentials, IAM role, and relay secret are stored server-side and are never visible in MurrCloud's settings UI.

01
Open your Amazon account record in MurrCloud One record per Amazon Seller Central account.
02
Click Connect to Amazon MurrCloud redirects you to Seller Central via the central relay at murrcloud.com/amazon/connect.
03
Authorize the MurrCloud app Amazon asks you to grant access. No credentials leave your browser.
04
MurrCloud stores your refresh token Securely, server-side. The token is never exposed in settings or logs.
05
Select your active marketplaces MurrCloud discovers every marketplace your account participates in. MurrCloud auto-creates a dedicated FBA stock location for each one.
06
Sync orders Amazon FBA orders become MurrCloud sales orders, matched to real products by GS1 barcode.
03 - Order Data Modes

Start syncing before restricted data approval is in place.

Amazon requires a separate approval process before its SP-API returns buyer PII - names, addresses, and contact details. MurrCloud handles both states so FBA sellers can start syncing immediately.

Current default Basic Order Sync - No PII

Orders sync without buyer name or shipping address. MurrCloud creates a placeholder customer using the Amazon Order ID. Perfect for FBA sellers where Amazon handles delivery - all COGS, revenue, and inventory moves work correctly.

When approved Restricted Data Mode

Once Amazon approves restricted data roles, one server parameter change and a reconnect enables full buyer and shipping detail import. No reinstallation required.

Need FBM (Merchant Fulfilled) order workflows? FBM fulfillment requires full buyer shipping addresses and additional configuration. Contact MurrCloud to discuss FBM setup for your account.
04 - Product Matching

Amazon SKUs mapped to real products, not a catch-all placeholder.

When an Amazon order arrives, MurrCloud identifies the correct product in your catalog using three methods in priority order. Add UPC/EAN barcodes to your MurrCloud products before your first sync and most offers will match automatically.

  • 1
GS1 barcode match - UPC / EAN / GTIN MurrCloud fetches the ASIN's identifiers from the Amazon Catalog Items API and matches against the barcode field on your MurrCloud products. High-confidence match.
  • 2
Seller SKU match If no barcode match is found, MurrCloud tries the Amazon SellerSKU against your product's internal reference. Medium-confidence match.
  • v
Amazon Sales placeholder When neither method resolves a product, MurrCloud uses a generic placeholder so the order still imports cleanly. The offer is flagged for review in the Product Matching dashboard.

Offers on the placeholder show up in the Needs Review dashboard on the Amazon account form. Once you add the correct UPC/EAN to a MurrCloud product, Cleanup Product Matches re-fetches historical order item data and remaps existing lines - no manual editing required.

Dashboard column What it shows

Match notePlain-language explanation of why the offer was linked that way.
05 - FBA Inventory

Amazon's FBA stock counts, per marketplace, inside MurrCloud.

MurrCloud pulls live FBA inventory from Amazon and writes quantities into dedicated per-marketplace stock locations - so Amazon.ca and Amazon.com inventory stay cleanly separated inside your MurrCloud warehouse structure.

Pulled via listInventorySummaries, filtered by active marketplace.

Stock destinations
Per-marketplace locations

e.g. Amazon FBA - Amazon.ca and Amazon FBA - Amazon.com. Auto-created when you activate each marketplace.

Matching logic
GS1-first, same as orders

Offers still on the placeholder are skipped and logged. Run product matching cleanup first for best results.

Page-based sync. The sync processes one page of FBA inventory per click so it stays within browser timeout limits on large catalogs. Run it again until the notification confirms no more inventory remains. FBA order stock moves also consume stock from the correct marketplace location automatically.
FBA Inventory API permission required. If your Amazon app or IAM role hasn't been granted FBA Inventory API access, the sync writes a clear error to the Sync Logs panel instead of failing silently.
06 - Monitoring

Every sync, test, and error - in one log.

The Amazon account form shows a live connection panel with the current authorization state and order data mode. Test Amazon Connection runs a full integration check in one click, and every result is written to amazon.sync.log.

Test step What it verifies
Account setupRefresh token present and account configured.
LWA token exchangeLogin With Amazon returns a valid access token.
AWS STS AssumeRoleMurrCloud's IAM role can be assumed successfully.
Marketplace accessgetMarketplaceParticipations returns active marketplaces.
Order accessgetOrders call succeeds for the active marketplace.

The Sync Logs panel (stat button on the Amazon account form) keeps history for connection tests, order sync, FBA inventory sync, product matching cleanup, and SP-API errors - all with timestamps and plain-language messages.

07 - Getting Set Up

Four steps to live Amazon FBA order sync.

  • 01
Add UPC/EAN barcodes to your MurrCloud products The barcode field is the primary key for matching Amazon order items. Do this first and most products will match automatically from day one.
  • 02
Create your Amazon account record in MurrCloud One record per Seller Central account. Name it to reflect the region or account type.
  • 03
Click Connect to Amazon and complete the OAuth flow You'll be redirected to Seller Central, authorize MurrCloud, and return automatically. The refresh token is stored immediately.
  • 04
Select your active marketplaces and run your first order sync MurrCloud discovers all marketplaces your account participates in and auto-creates a stock location for each. Select, sync, and you're live.
